Some francoisii clones have triangle or diamond shaped leaves. I suspect that the triangle leaf morphology is in adaptation to maximize photosynthesis under low light conditions:  francoisii with normal shaped leaves make triangle leaves when grown in extreme low light conditions. The triangle shaped francoisii clones are probably mutants that always make triangle leaves-even in normal and high light conditions. My crossing experience suggests that more than one mutation can lead to this trait. The following plant likely has two different triangle mutations and makes extremely wide leaves.
