splendens X emelyae. This magnificent plant was the pick of the litter of this hybridization. I am taking this plant to the next generation by crossing it to a sibling and I hope to establish this line as a cultivar. Named "Scarlet Begonias" after the Grateful Dead song. A number of strange mutants have also come out of this cross.
